Sean
P. Roman joined the firm as a shareholder, effective April 9,
2008. Mr. Roman’s practice encompasses primarily the areas of
medical malpractice defense, insurance defense work, general
civil litigation defense, as well as school and municipal law.
Mr. Roman is a well known defense attorney in the region
having practiced in Williamsport for 20 years. He was
previously a partner with another Williamsport law firm,
where he concentrated his work in the defense of civil
litigation.
He has considerable experience in both federal and state
courts litigating claims involving motor vehicle accidents,
products liability, medical malpractice, civil rights,
employment law, contractual disputes, and fire loss. He
serves as the solicitor for Lycoming County Career and
Technology Center and the Muncy Creek Township Planning
Commission.
Mr. Roman is a member of the Lycoming County Youth
Commission, Board of Governors of the Lycoming County
Historical Society and Thomas Taber Museum, and a Board
member of North Central Sight Services. He was a founding
Board member of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of
Lycoming County, and is a graduate of Leadership Lycoming.
Mr. Roman has also been actively involved in Little League
Baseball for many years as a manager and coach. He is a
member of the Federal Bar Association and treasurer for the
region’s chapter, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and
Lycoming Law Association.
Mr. Roman was born in Pittston, PA. in 1966. When his family
relocated to the area, he attended the Loyalsock Township
Schools. Mr. Roman graduated magna cum laude from Bucknell
University in 1988 and cum laude from the University of
Pittsburgh School of Law in 1991. He also studied at the
Institute of European Studies in Vienna, Austria. He is a
member of the Phi Beta Kappa national honor society.
Mr. Roman is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar, the Lycoming
County Bar Association and is admitted to practice before
United States District Court for the Middle District of
Pennsylvania, and the United States Third Circuit Court of
Appeals.
Sean and his wife, Cindy, are the
parents of two children and reside in Williamsport.
